I don't CARE how cheaply you can do those lines, I have $3000 dollars and I want BLING it!
:rollin:
yes, but there is such a thing as going too far. It just doesnt look tasteful. I think mine turned out pretty good, and I'm sure it was at least a hundred bux cheaper

I like it. The mechanics look good to me. Not the best color but I love the hood scoop.
More fittings means more future potential leak locations.....
You HAVE to give us a link.... :hick:
What's a matter with it?
it's not the color that's so bad honestly, but that engine bay has a lot going on at once. :/
X2.I actually kind of like it.I'd replace some hoses, but I could live with it.It's a good color considering what the car is meant for.Not bad at all.
I DO like the hood....
Oh yea! Love the color, but yes, engine bay does look a bit busy.
THAT color just doesnt belong on a bird, NO MATTER WHAT ITS FOR. I can deal with the engine bay, if it was mine, it would have all that fuel stuff redone. The rest of it isnt bad. I just dont know what goes through peoples heads when they paint stuff that color
When you look at an engine, you're supposed to say, "Wow!!", not "Whoa!!" It looks like he did a nice job, it's just too busy. Also, color is subjective and I have never been a fan of bright colors like that. I do like the hood. I'd like to see the back side to see how he used the factory scoops in it.
I do really like the hood. I do like my original hood too though, but I think that car would be badass if it was a dark blue or red or something
whats going on with those aluminum plates going out on each side of the motor ? they couldnt possibly be attached to the frame could they?
looks like a motor plate to me. It probably has another one sandwiched between the block and the trans too.
what do i know,,, :hick:
seems to me if you gotta go that far, then why not brace the engine bay as well.
In most cases it is. ;)
1 carb and 5 fuel lines coming out of the valve, that’s a lot going on. But I like it I take my hat off to anyone willing to hotrod our fox’s excluding stangs. And it looks good, he did it right as long as he’s happy, its his car.
i actually really dig that color. its awesome. the detail work in the engine bay is obviously a touch silly
personally i like the color, needs some satin black here and there to break it up. The engine bay is more confusing than my stock '83 cfi setup was.
I could do without the color, but like I said, I like the hood. Would look killer on my car after I painted it to match (in black!) IMHO, LOL!
On top of the junctions every 4 inches as well.
It has a GREAT stance too.
Excessive fittings aside (& does he really have the power to need an engine plate?), it does make me want to pull my engine and paint the engine bay black. When I show the car I'm always dissapointed at the "blah" look of the faded cabernet red in the engine compartment.
I don't really care for the color, hood, or the schizofrenic plumbing job, but I do like the BBF under the hood.
Those fittings look pretty functional to me. The only place it gets a little cluttered is where there's a filter in the line.:dunno:
Lime green.... well, it's not my car.
I have never been a fan of cowl hoods.
Seriously, it doesn't look too bad. It does need some black in it to break it up a bit. I would have changed the colors in the engine to match the body better, adding black there too.
The owner will definitely get some oohs and ahhs at shows. Maybe not from serious car enthusiasts, but from the general public, I'm sure there are those out there who will like it.
And, as was mentioned, it's not any of our cars...so, if the owner likes it, who cares?
Does that car belong to someone on here? I wanna see some interior pics.
I like it. Hell its a fox tbird that someone spent alot of time and money on modding the out of.. how could you not like it? Too bad we missed out on the building of that car.

CC plates on a .25 mile racer?
or
NACA ducts on a cowl induction bulge?
Is this a trick question?, lol
Well, I
guess he could swap out wheels/tires and go autox'ing.
Guy I bought my headers from had CC's on his 1/4 miler drag car. (88 Tbird) But he also had a tube welded from the front to the back of the engine compartment like a pair of parallel bars, motor plates, and maybe another brace welded in or two. I suppose the CC's allowed him to adjust for the heavier motor, and all the welding stress or something.
With a little assertiveness, I think he could make both function well....I can actually picture a couple of different ideas in my head. I'd LOVE to see the underside of it.
