Look what (OLDMAN) winter left us to deal with: Ice Skates & Snowboards are optional.
more pics....
Yup we started out with plain old snow then about halfway through the day it turned to sleet/freezing rain so everything is just a glare of ice.....ugh good thing I got nowhere to go.
Did you turn the sprinklers on again last night?
I just got finished cleaning up the mess that was turning to rain while I was trying to throw the heavy stuff. I'm soaked now :(
ditto. snow started to get heavy fast. the last ice storm like that we had last month i lost power for 8 days.
When I woke up,everything, the roads, trees, everything, was covered in ice. Now,it's almost back to normal.Hopefully that'll allow a salvage yard run Monday.I have fuel lines and more to grab. Are you guys hibernating through all of the snow?
Vinnie, No but the houses on our side of the street all have electric and the others have "NO JUICE" with no help insight.
We got the same stuff as you. Thanks for sharing :hick:
Hey, Victor you could have all of ours only because I didn't want this in the first place.
F U WINTER!!!
If anyone wants some more, let me know! I can give ya'll cold, too.
We got a foot of snow here in Indy last night/this morning.
I hate ice. I can handle snow, but I hate ice. Luckily, we don't get too much of it here. Hopefully, none of you will get in any fender benders sliding around out there.
It started out as sleet here and then it snowed hard for 45 minutes. It was 50* yesterday so nothing is sticking to the roads at least.
Our snow only lasted through the morning. Afternoon rain took it all away.
Now it's backing up due to snow and ice dams and dripping into my windows and doorways - grrr.
But Dan, at least it looks pretty! lol
We got probably around about 9" of snow yesterday... it was real fun driving in it!
That picture is WIN! (http://www.listangs.com/forum/images/smilies/smileybigclap.gif)
YYYYup I definitely like that one as well. :rollin:
HAVI, Can you add another finger to make it in STEREO !!!
We got this system last night. Snow, then freezing rain. The roads were a glare, this morning. I almost lost it at one point. The Vue kicked out its' arse a few times, but at one point I did some fish-tailing. Ange had to put the window down, because she was about to puke. :D
I never went over 55 the entire time, and averaged about 50 (31).
We got about 8-9 inches just of snow though. :)
We got 70* yesterday... :flip: About 40* now...
We were supposed to get 3-5" last week, but the weather man stepped on his dick and we got zip... Weather service has been taking some flack as the road crews were all sent out out and most schools closed...
I don't know why walking out and digging out your car every once in a while is such a big deal. I know it takes 5 minutes out of your day, but it really isn't all that hard. I've never been in an accident, especially in snow. All you have to do is slow down alittle bit.
It snowed here every day for a couple of weeks. I don't mind snow. It sucks when its just above freezing and it starts raining. It gets down to 0 out here at night alot.
Takes me at least a half hour every morning that it snows, to get the cars out of the driveway. takes about 5 min. just to get to the car/van and another 15 to thaw it out enough to se the windows.
But if you don't mind, I can use the help. LOL
my defroster dosen't work :). I need to do that thermostat. If I let it run for 10 minutes it will get to the second bar on the digi dash by the time I get to work. Can't get it above that, no matter how I drive.
I've done alot of sping off ice, and broke many ice sers already this year. I have a car port I can park under, but when I do it leaks ice onto my windsheild. I let my wife park her neon because her heater works.
I also spend all day everyday outside, sometimes climbing poles. Lately I've been working alot of nights, and it sucks.
Snow does suck alittle bit, but for once I have rwd car in the snow, so I'm happy.
It's more than just driving in it or having to dig the car out or even shoveling the snow.
I just plain hate the cold weather. I've contemplated moving to a desert type area for awhile now....
try it out here. It got to 110 outside last year, and i've been down to -15 already.
I was thinking more along the lines of New Mexico or Arizona.
Roger and I are talking about moving to Kentucky, Tennessee, Virginia or West Virginia in another year or two.
He's been wanting to get out of this area since he moved here. He was talking about Baltimore, but I do not want to live there. So we are compromising and I suggested a couple other places. So he agreed and told me to check them out.
There are jobs available in several areas for his line of work, so it doesn't look like it'll be too difficult for him to find one. I also need to check out schools and surrounding neighborhoods along with cost of living. But I have plenty of time to figure it all out.
