Right now I have...

Have a 5G iPod 80GB model (with video). Just down to one iPod now.
All the current computers have upgrades, way too many to list.
My personal recommendations for accessories would have to be the Macally IceKey (http://"http://www.macally.com/EN/Product/ArticleShow.asp?ArticleID=147") keyboard and a Kensington Expert Mouse (http://"http://us.kensington.com/html/2200.html").
I loved the scissor switches on my PowerBook's keyboard and wanted a full-sized keyboard that typed just like it. The only one I found and liked was the IceKey. Full 108 keys, including the volume and eject keys, and very logical. Requires one small driver. Can't recommend it more. Although the new flat aluminum keyboard that shipped with the iMac is starting to grow on me, it's still kinda goofy and I find that my typing is much more accurate with the IceKey.
I got used to trackball mice back in 1990 when working for a graphic design agency. The Expert Mouse is a really elegant solution, especially if you have limited desktop space to use a regular mouse, and it's also supposed to be good for people with carpal tunnel problems. They have a new mouse, the SlimBlade (http://"http://us.kensington.com/html/16632.html"), that looks really cool also. Not cheap, but if you liked Missile Command, you'll love a trackball mouse. ;)
I just ordered what I hope to be a very slick accessory for the iMac; it hurt a little bit to give money to M$ but they do make a ed decent mouse. It's the Microsoft Arc Mouse (http://"http://www.amazon.com/Microsoft-ZJA-00001-Arc-Mouse-Black/dp/B001C4ETU0/ref=pd_bbs_sr_1?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=1232943677&sr=8-1"). I'll get it this week...will report back after using it. It really fit my palm nicely after trying it out at Staples. Instead of paying $59 +tax there, got it for $36 from Amazon. Hopefully it works out the way I hope it will...
how much for the yikes?
I'll send a PM to ya.
OK, got the M$ Arc mouse today.
WOW.
This thing is really, really nice. I had to reduce the sensitivity in the Keyboard/Mouse preference panel because it is a little twitchy otherwise. But that's a good thing...this really woke up the whole Mac experience, with no driver needed, and sensitivity is easily controlled now. Very cool. I only hope now that the scroll wheel, which seems to be a failing issue with a few people, doesn't curse me.
Yeah, it's me...probably will...
Anyhoo...if you're thinking about one, I recommend trying it out at Staples or Best Buy.
Wow, a Mac user plugging an M$ product instead of accusing M$ from stealing the idea from Apple. Gotta be one of the signs of the apocalypse :D
LOL,
Wait till it breaks. The world will be back to normal.
Hey now...I give credit where credit is due. Nobody has anything on the market that looks like the Arc mouse. It's performing brilliantly, it was reasonably priced, and M$ has a long track record of making a solidly designed mouse. If it lasts even 3 years, until the end of the warranty period, then it was a good investment.
Now their OS, on the other hand... ;)
Let me know how it works, and how long.
My mighty mouse blew out its little mouse ball last week. Think it's time for a change
Real mice don't need balls...they make do with lasers, lol. ;):rollin:
i will second that...
i hate the apple mice.
my g3 B&W.....ball mice go bye
my imacs....ball mice go bye.
my emac...single click py laser go bye
my powerbook....well i cant very well rip out the touchpad...so....
3 button scroll wheel hp laser mouse to the rescue....and stuff
I meant the page scroll ball on the top of the mouse. It doesn't have a tracking ball on the bottom.
Wait, the ball stopped working or actually came out?
17" MacBook Pro here and lovin' it.
The ball stopped working. first it wouldn't scroll down. now, up or down is gone. side to side still works, but web pages don't scroll sideways. I think I'll take it apart. :hick:
Try flipping it upside-down and run the ball all over the table like a maniac. Always works for me ;)
no luck
Just bought a new Macbook!! I'm loving it so far first day with it... :)
Scored this for my wife on Ebay
$199........... and it works great. just a dent
Powerbook G4 15" aluminum 1.67 W/superdrive

Nasty dent...ouch.
I'm still running a 1.25 GHz 15" PowerBook that's 5.5 years old. It's like these cars, stock: slow and lacking modern features but ed dependable LOL. Still waiting for that computer to crash...I have never ever seen the multilanguage lockup screen on that computer. Amazing. Good luck with this one Jerry, and don't fry the motherboard. ;)
