Does anyone know what the largest tire that will fit on my 84 TBird with a 15" ten hole wheel? I want to fill up the wheel well without rubbing on anything.
Thanks
245/60/15 is the biggest 15 i use.
my 83 is lowered almost 2" and I have 235/60's under with no problems.
are you taking about biggest on the rear or the front or the same size all around?
I just bought a pair of 15 by 8 inch draglites for the rear and want to fill up the rear wheel wells with tire
275/50/15 in the rear (I now have 275/40/17's) :D
I had a BFG Drag Radial that was 275 60 R 15. The quad shocks had to go, the wheel lip rolled, and the rim must be 4.5" back spacing like a stock 10 hole....otherwise that was the max I could get.
275/60/15 on 8 inch rim
this is my turbo coupe (red and black)
and my v8 (black)
fit like a glove
275-60-15 on 10 holes ...no problem
275-50-15 on 10 holes...no problem as well. No tpuppies at all.
83-88 Birds. Might need to remove quad shock tho.
325-50-15 on 9 inch wheels...yes some slight tpuppies.

in a month i will know if 295's fit in the rear.
On snow flakes, I wouldn't do more than 245. and that is a little iffy.
I have heard of people have issues with 245s and others who never do on a 7" rim. I think I am going to get some for my Ponies so I guess Ill see first hand.
So whats the most drag slick you can get under there....please wheel references and back spacing. I would like to know before I drop more money on wheels and tires. With the narrow 8.8 mustang .......offset seems to play havoc with my pocket book.
