hi
just joined up here today :D :D :D
the car im currently driving is a 1984 cougar roadster, it just turned over 100,000 miles:rollin:
its just a basic cougar but i guess the dealer put the roadster package on, consisting of a convertable looking top, and side emblems that say roadster.
its the 6 cylinder.
the other cougar i have is a 1985 with about 295,000 miles and the 5.0 .im pretty sure the engine is done as there is no pressure.
i have 2 other cars a 1995 towncar with about 246,000 miles and a 1989 continental with about 115,000 . i replaced the head gasket on the conti and now i just need an abs pump. the towncar needs a exhaust manifold gasket possibly, im hopeful on that as the coolant went into the oil.
on the 1984 cougar i just replaced the struts and shocks and all the brakes. i gotta say that even that this car is 25 years old it rides really good. better them some new cars i have been in. my friend has a 2002 pontiac grand prix and it doesnt ride as good as the 84 cougar. i think it even rides better then a new 2008 taurus i drove recently. any way just saying hi to everyone :burnout:
eddie
