Title: Question about GT40 heads
Post by: 20th anny 5.o on January 22, 2009, 06:24:51 PM
I was looking  on summit's website looking at their heads for the 302 and noticed that they have 2 cc sizes 58 and 64. What would be the difference between the two if any performance wise?

64 (http://"http://store.summitracing.com/partdetail.asp?autofilter=1&part=FMS-M-6049-X306&N=700+304009+4294840126+115&autoview=sku")

58cc going to have more compression than the 64s if you’re going w/ a stock 302 w/eye reliefs go w/ the 58cc’s they will give you approx 10;1 compression. but you should consult w/ your machine shop.

are you thinking about buying those gt-40 alum heads? I would research it more, for that kind of money you can get a much nicer head. A couple that come to mind are : trickflow, edelbrock, afr etc... ask around see what the faster 302's with aftermarket heads are running.
