I got the sport in April 08. No upgrades yet. I recently graduated from wyotech and am now trying to find work, not easy right now. So everything is put on hold for awhile. The white thunderbird is my first car (88 lx 3.8). I never did get it on the road but i still played around with it. Plz dont ask bout the paint job. It was my first time painting and i wanted something that would stand out.

Here is a pic of the engine back in the car after i had to replace the soft plugs on the back of the heads.
The car and title both said 30k some miles idk if its true yet

The grill is just a piece of sheet metal i formed up since the grill was broke. Its just temporary until i get my hands on a TC front.

I think that's a aftermarket panel to give the std birds that TC ''look''... Was one over in my mom's neighborhood a few years ago, till he wrecked it and busted it and the header...

My plans are HO conversion, T5 swap, and TC rearend. But first i have some bodywork to do. The passenger side quarter has about 1/2" thick of bondo. I picked up a complete quarter from Carlisle during the all ford nationals, payed $45 for it. Im just waiting til spring to start that. We got our first snow lastnight its about 1/2". lol
I had to put different tires on the front for inspection and they are the only thing i have and can afford right now.

Good move using the Stang for parts.The Thunderbird is a MUCH better looking car,and also stands out in the crowd.

The mustang is my grandparents. They got it back in 90 new, it has 230k miles on the engine. I drove it back and forth when i was still at wyotech. Amazingly it still gets 23 mpg. They bought a 04 Mach 1 and it doesnt leave the garage much, has 38k miles

no whenever the day comes that it gets restored. The plans are to repaint it red and we have a 351 Cleveland that might go in it.

That shade of orange was the color I was wanting to go with originally,before the green came to be.I do think that orange looks awesome,but just a little more eye grabbing than I wanted.

I went and picked up my new TC front bumper today. Thanks 88 thunderbird. I just sprayed some rattle paint on it for now. The bumper still needs a little adjustment as well as the fog lights. Ill post more pics tomorrow after I repaint the trim and make some adjustments.
Now all I need to do is save up $ for the TC header, inner lights and maybe a mach1 chin spoiler.

Where's the chin spoiler?You may be fine without it,but it really does help direct air up to the radiator.How do you like the TC bumper?I thinks it looks better than the Sport (standard) bumper cover by a long shot,although,I've seen the standard bumper cover combined with a TC header panel,and it actually looked a little "sharper" up front.

that orange looks like ppg "copperhead"
and that orange looks hot on the stangs my mom has a 04 cobra convt in the color

Wyotech is an ok school but I dont think its really worth $30k. I took automotive tech, streetrod, and took applied service management as an add on class, another $10k. So for $40k and one year of schooling I have an assoicates degree and a diploma in automotive technology.
If you are going to the one in blairsville pa I would find private housing cuz the student housing sucks and a lot of bad things happen there and the cops are there almost every weekend. I had private housing it runs about $350-400 a month for rent and student housing is $325 or so. Its worth the extra $.
What all classes are you thinking of taking?

Last night I used some headlight restore. I must say the headlights were much brighter. The passenger side still needs some more sanding but they dont look too bad.

Im back!!!!!! I like your car i did the same mods. My 351c has been in machine shop for awhile. man that guy is slow but does good work. should be done this summer sometime. Its good to have t-bird enthucists on here.

Fixed the header panel today and put it on.
Now the hood needs a scoop or something. It just doesnt look right.

I dont know about them either. Leave them on for a while. Youll either grow to love them or hate them. I wasnt sure about the grill I made for about 3 or 4 months. Then I loved it. Now it is destroyed but it grew on me

I say stick with the covers, but thats just my opinion. i think they are awesome, They add a little cool stealth to the bird.

Yeah. I have another one Im making now. Plus a 87-88 Bird grill Im working on.
My next piece of body work is a copy cat piece. I hate doing that because it takes away from the originality of the person who did it first.
My grill was inspired by Eric and Andrew's cars. They made one piece header grills though.

Wow, I can't believe you got those seats for $40. From the pics they look perfect. I've looked for a good set for years, I finally got a set last year but they're far from perfect, then this winter I found another set, now between the two I'm going to I'm going make one good set, but it's still not going to be perfect, and I have 4 times into mine than you. Very good find on your part!! Great buy!! Your Bird is comming along nicely.

Its been awhile since I posted. Here is some pics of my new interior, all I have left to do is the carpet, dash, and headliner. Should have it done by this weekend. I paid $150 for everything I could fit into my blazer.

Man your going to wish you did it all at once. Carpet and headliner are behind everything. Still havent put any of mine back in.
Looks really good. Going a similar route with mine only more gray. Looks so much better than red IMO

The Halo 'rests make the seats pop...glad I have some for mine lol.

Looks good. Although I think I like the original headrests myself. You can actually turn the originals forward and rest your head on them. Just my two cents.

Its been awhile since I have posted. New parts on the sport are, stock mustang headers, bassani x pipe, cherry bomb vortec lers with turn downs, and HO intake. As soon as it warms up I plan to put all the HO parts on. I have a SD computer, e7 heads, and stock cam.

Interior looks great , although I am a huge fan of the red that was in there before.
I have a question what size tires are you running on your turbines?

They are 215/70/r15, they are about an inch taller than 225/60/r15.

and I think tailpipes would help wit the drone quite a bit
I had the same lers on my Mark VII lsc with full tailpipes and there was no noticeable drone in the car

There will ALWAYS be drone in the car as long as the exhaust is coming out underneath. Doesnt matter what ler is in there.

The mustang spindles lower my car about half an inch or so. I still need to get an alignment, for now i just adjusted the toe by measuring the front and rear of the tires until they where the same.
