Title: Leather/Vinyl Seat Stain
Post by: Romeo2k on January 15, 2009, 12:57:26 AM
Finnally got around to cleaning up my junkyard found leather/vinyl seats~And having a problem with some stains.

The seats are Dark Blue, And the stains started out looking like splashed/spilled milk streaks and dots, After some water and toothbrush scrubbing i've got them to fade as much as i can.
But they are still noticeable in the right light.

What kind of detergent/cleaner should i try to further tackle these stains with without hurting the leather?

I've heard scrubbing bubbles work miracles on everything.
I hear it's the car detailers secret weapon. it's worth a try

I will give that a try, thanks.

Upon further scrubbing, It seems to fade the stains a bit more~But just makes them darker as opposed to the white/ish color they started. (which is actually better for the dark blue i suppose). :hick:

I'm almost thinking it was a shotty spray job of a leather shiner/protectant that did not get properly wiped up, and caused a reaction as well as staining into the leather.
