Title: Serp Convertion Help

ok im finnally doing the serp convertion on the hard top ..engin is a 1969 351 w .i put every thing on and when i filled it with water it's pouring out of the bottom right hand side ..now i changed every thing but the timein cover and thats becouse every thing semmed to line up the same on the new pump...but it does feel like theres a gap under ther where the water is coming from ..so do i need to change the timing cover if so what can i use the brakets all came from a 302 so can i use 302 and 351 timing cover ....what do you guess sugest

nope ! i still have the 1969 timing cover on my  1969-351W that is in my 1986 stang.
yes, i swap every thing over from the 86 5.0 that was in it except the belt and that because i put a new one on it.

hm i wonder if i got the wrong pump i bought if for a newer modle 351w...ill go check at the parts store tommorrow to se if theres a difrence i pulled the backing plate off and i now see why it leaks the water holes dont line up and thats why it poured out so the 302 pump should work wright

problem solved with a 302 pump
