Title: Air conditioning in a 2005 Ranger
Post by: daminc on December 31, 2008, 08:45:11 PM
Is it possible to use the air from a TC, and put it in a 2005 ranger?
My newly acquired truck never had factory air. It's only downside.

it would probly be easier to buy what you can from a junk yard from a 2005 ranger because 1. the heat/air box under the dash would fit perfect.2 the compressor ,hoses, and coils will be excate bolt in less problems all around .3 you can also get the heat air controls out of the rangers dash. as for the tc's a/c stuff could work but you'll be looking at doing some fab work to make it all fit and the other down side is the age of the parts from the tc's parts all the seals would need replaced had to change all the seals in my 88 sport cause the a/c was not used in over 10 years and lost all the oil witch dried them out . hope you can get you a/c up and going
