This seems like the more sensible thing to do, stimulate more than just the car companies, but everyone that deals with cars in general. The whole plan seems like it couldve very well been implemented by the big 3 themselves. New car sales might be at a record low, but people are always gonna buy new cars. Junking the old ones and buying new ones is almost like shifting the problem from one market to another.
