building the mustang strictly stock now *was a 4cyl car*, the axle swap for the cougar is done.
to swap a mustang 7.5 to 5 lug, what is needed? is it the same as the thundercats? I know the tbirds have a wider track. worse comes to worse i can switch complete rear axles from a 'bird. also is there a length difference in drive shafts from a 5spd to a aod on the stang?
all 79-04 mustangs share the same length driveshaft that have solid axles. the difference is the trans yoke.
you would use driver side ranger/broncoII axles or passenger side from an aerostar.
ok cool, so it's the same setup, someone told me different and i got confused...should always follow my own judgment:beatyoass:
Not sure what you mean by "the same set-up".
To keep the narrower Fox Mustang track, you need to use the axles mentioned. I'm pretty sure it's Ranger drums you need to use as well.
same as in, far as axles and ranger rotors for a 5 lug, i got 2 ranger complete axles coming, for axle shafts, and gears
