Still looking for fuel lines for an '87-'88 5.0 Bird/Cat.
Need the whole shebang, from tank to engine compartment..
Somebody please hook me up with a set and help me realize my New Year's resolution! :hick:;)
will the TC ones adapt? i'll pull the ones of my 87 this weekend if you think they will.
i still got some 88 3.8 sefi lines... i know the two fuel carrying lines are complete from engine back to next connection point, the vapor line or what ever it is i think got cut? i can check... but sorry my sefi 5.0 lines are in use :-p
I could probably get the whole setup, but it would cost you about $300.00 shipped. That includes what I have to pay.
2.3 lines are too different to consider, but thanks anyways
3.8 lines would take some modding to work..but I may have to go that route..
Vinnie..that's kinda high, but I'll probably have to pay some, as there is simply none around here whatsoever. To go as far as I needed to get 'em, I'd spend that much on gas+the cost of lines themselves, so I have you get them for me.
After the holidays and the new year, I'll pm or email you and see if you can get them.
I figure it's gonna be an ordeal where I'll pay out the ass, but I really have no other choice, lol.
On the other hand, I have the lines from my first V6 Tbird, only thing is, they've been cut off before the engine side disconnect...could I use that kit that was talked about in another fuel line thread and use the disconnect from say...a 5.0 stang?
I can find Mustang fuel lines all day long...just not the Tbird stuff.
(is there a smilie for frustration?) lol
You can go to ronmorrisperformance.com (http://"http://www.ronmorrisperformance.com/miva/merchant.mvc?Screen=CTGY&Store_Code=rmp&Category_Code=Fuel_Fittings_and_Fuel_Line") and build new lines for far cheaper than $300. If you don't find the duckbill fittings you need, try NAPA. I found the 90deg fitting I needed there. Verified with Mr. Morris that it has the same dimensional specs as he was using. (He could no longer source them).
My car still has the 3.8L fuel lines up to the engine compartment. I just shortened the 5.0L intermediate steel lines to fit between the 3.8L soft lines and the 5.0L fuel rail. Just mark up the 5.0L intermediate lines and take them to a local machine shop. I had mine silver-soldered and pressure tested, to make sure they wouldn't leak.
Ill look at the yard. That is if I ever get time to go. I might be able to get them cheap, Ill let you know. Might have to do it in trips since its freezing balls outside
well just let me know... i dont need em... hell i think i saved them just in case ya did need em lol
The lines off my 3.8 will also be available soon. Just in case
bump.
Had some lined up, but they got damaged when he took 'em off, so I still need some...
I can still get them as I posted before.
