How do you drive? I have 115 on my 3.8l v6 and it was running okay. I'm swapping in a 5.0 SO with 70k on it. Im hoping it''ll last a while.

Congrats.

I'm jealous though, I know a guy with a 1995 f150 with 220k on thw original motor, trans everything, he just replaced a gas tank and a fuel pump. Other than regular tune up stuff etc thats all hes done....

Congrats. But my GF made 327,000 in her original 88 TC on the original motor, trans, rear, clutch, and TURBO. A head gasket finally did it in:punchballs:

That still amazes me. He bought his with a blown motor though. I rolled 83000 this month....

I can easily believe motors, T5s and rears going 300K, but a clutch? Wow. I've got 218K on my 95 F150 and the motor/tranny hasn't been touched (not counting plugs, filters, etc). Doesn't use a drop of oil and runs like a million bucks, but it's a 5.8 and an auto. 300K on a clutch amazes me. Of course, I am easily amazed....

lol....I'm not, and I'm amazed at what she did. But she DOESN'T drive like "I" do, and always, ALWAYS waited for the turbo to cool down before turning it off and getting out of the car.

And 88turbo, that's pretty cool. But what's even cooler is the fact you had presence of mind to SEE it turn! Most uf us, me included, would think "Hey....it's fixin to happen" then forget about it till it was to late. CHEERS

I had the whole thing planned so I brought the camera along.  first time I have ever rolled over an odometer so I was pretty excited.
