thats a sweet shot.
what combo is that car runnin now?
hey man nice run what do you have to make launch so nice mine is horrable on my 86 bird, ive got the speed to run deep into the 10s but my launching sucks loads the passenger rear hard any input on your suspension if you dont mind letting your setup out
thanks
Robert
Both of your cars run good the cougar and your 86 T-Bird hope my XR7 gets out to the track next year with a few more mods.
That is a inducing pic man! You can tell it is really hookin' up good.
I have UPR Pro Launch Kit on the rear
Upper,Lower and Anti Rollbar. I bought Lakewood 50/50's for the
rear. I have the old stock struts on the frt. I have strut limiters on the frt. No frt sway bar and no rear sway bar.
Hope this helps. Good Luck
do u mind if i ask whats your 60ft on that pass, also how did you make the lake wood 50-50s work cause there shorter than the tbird ones any input would be appreciated ive got the power lol i just cant get it all to the ground lol
thanks
RObert
That little scoop looks like it will clear my tfs intake, whats the height and width of that? if you don't mind me asking where you pick it up at it doesn't look that bad for a bolt-on scoop.
that looks like a 2002 or newer mustang gt hood scoop a buddy of mine has a brand new one he bought for his and never used it was like 150 but im sure he would let it go for 100 bucks
sorry im off track here back on pm me :burnout:
chuckW on here sells brackets to use short mustang shocks on the birds/cougars
i thought that one was gone!!
The car normally 60ft's 1.49 that launch there was a 1.47
The car sets low, I just installed the the Fox lenght shock off a stang.
Could let her go, so I just put her in my storage building and pulled her out and put her back together. My wife and oldest son want to
bracket/heads up race it next year. I'm just trying to get all the bugs out for them.
The hood scoop is a Boss 429 for a '70 Boss 429 stang.
I can get some measuremnt of the scoop if you need.
thats awesome that you kept it!
Thanks,
Just couldn't let her go.
LOL
What setup is on this car? Just trying to kinds compare to my setup what mods etc
Robert
Here are some shots of the car.
It had a 351W C4 4.10 gears and a 28 in Drag Radial
It has a 150HP plate kit but hasn't been sprayed yet all times above are on motor and drag radials

Very nice ride, question how do think a mickey thompson dragradial 255 50 16 would compare to a a true 26 10 15 slick?
Thanks
Robert
How do they compare size wise or traction wise????
traction wise
Nice looking cat!
Me too til i saw it on the trailer at Pinks.
I didnt know it was going to be running that quick though.

Which fuel door is that?
Awesome pic BTW!
That's a great looking car. The mirrors are cool on it
It that an 88?
I like the drag radial for stablity. My turbo car walks around ALOT
on slicks. I didn't have the dr this summer when I was runnig the
turbo car. But I will try them on it in the spring. In the 1/4 mile the
turbo car runs 135+ MPH and that is no fun when the slick walk around. The N20 car has the same 60ft on DR's as the Slick.
But they are 2 totally diffrent cars.
I guess that made it clear as MUD. LOL
The fuel door is for a mustang(bullit) fits fairly well
The car is a '87 XR7 and the mirrors are from a Tempo
Thanks for the kind words
Yes,
That was what I ordered it for.
Nice run! You've got two hellified Cougar's there dude!
I'll vouch for the drag radials being stable at high speed.
For sure,
I want to get the turbo car to hook on the same size drag radial
next spring.
Just signed up for Pinks ALL OUT in Memphis for May 2009
