Title: Simple 2.3 question
Post by: Turbo 88 on November 23, 2008, 11:26:17 PM
The only leak I've found on the TC so far is from the low oil level sender mounted in the side of the oil pan. It's leaking from the seal. So the question is....

Can I just tighten this guy up from the outside? Or did Ford in it's infinite wisdom put a nut on the inside so you have to pull the pan and use a wrench on the inside to tighten this up???????

It is just threaded into the oil pan, they all leak with age... I doubt it's loose, you'll need to replace it...

It kinda looks like it's leaking between the seal and the pan. A lil twist, or some silicone won't do it?
