Title: Base cluster speedo wont light up

Okay it finally happened, yesterday i stopped at a gas station, started the car and my speedometer wont light up, its really hard to see at night, it still works, it just isint lighting up like it did earlier yesterday. Is it just a bulb that burnt out or something worse?? Tell me what i need to do, thanks in advance

Just from perusing the factory manual I would guess it's a bulb. Not much else to go wrong

okay i hope thats all thats wrong, like i said the speedo works, but its super super dim. i'll check it out tomorrow

Well I'm new to these animals, but looking at the book, that's all that it looks like it could be. IF you had problems with all of the gauge lights, then it would probably be something else

two bulbs top center of the speedo.

On a side note, the actual socket on each bulb is removeable so if you can, bend the tabs on the socket so it makes perfect contact with the bulb filliment leads.

If ever your speedo starts to act up, you can pull codes from it per my diy link instructions.  purdy easy to do.
