Title: Can I use wheel spacers if..........
Post by: fastbird86 on March 20, 2005, 11:49:00 PM
I know that using wheel spacers is tabo for some people, but here is my idea. I plan on buying some race tires soon, looking at some used Hoosier 245/50/15 R compound tires for my 10-holes. Can put a 1/2 spacer in the rear on the if I replace the stock studs with longer ARP studs, and can I use a 1/4 spacer in the front (to get the tire off the sway bar in turns) on the stock studs or will I have to replace them with ARP studs. I would like to use this set-up for the street but defenatly want to use it for the track. Any thoughts!

I'm wondering if that's an option for me too.  The 8.8 that's going into my '85 is from a Mustang, so it's narrower.  It's either longer studs and spacers or swapping the axles out.

they sell spacers, and have install directions, which should help the topic a bit
