kitz the 88 3.8 is a bit different than the 83.. block is longer ports different etc not to mention balance shaft. so as far as keeping the 83 carbed would be a bit more difficult using the 88 block altho they make aftermarket set ups. LSJ30 make sure to look for pre 88 3.8 as they will work for you as a long block BTW a location would be helpful especially with wanting an engine as they are expensive to ship. A website you should check out as well while checkin here for an engine is http://www.car-parts.com just enter your info of the vehicle and what part you want and what location you want to look in and it should give you a list of available engines for you in that area
I didn't know about the ports, I figured if if he kept it carb it would work.
Didnt Chooglin have one? I cant remember if he sold it or not
I still have it.

Hey, I told people to PM me so NOT to waste your precious time. Nonetheless, I received a good link from another member which might help me out. Not a waste to me man.
Chuck Is the Mod in this section. This is what he is supposed to do. Keeps our board free of spammers and scams. Just a rule everyone must follow. Easy enough to do.
Cool, but there was no reason to get snippy about it.
You haven't seen me snippy...
I didn't see the post until later, or I would have said something sooner. However you've been on the board long enough to know the rules by now.
Snippy... LOL. Chuck? Not even close... Yeah I looked and figured you would be though soon enough.
