There is an 83-84 Bird with vent windows and manual windows. If anyone wants them Ill get them for you. Never seen a vent window car in the yard before.
According to several Cougar brochures I've collected, anytime they mention vent windows, it says that it requires the power window option. I personally never saw the correlation myself. It would be a very rare find. That would be the kind of thing I'd put in a Bird or Cougar of mine (wish, wish). I like that kind of stuff, things you don't see every day, even if it seems impractical. Somebody here needs to snag those.

The pivoting vent window option required power mirrors not windows. I agree though, it seems like it would be a fairly unusual combo.
If I had the extra $$$ I would just grad the doors all together. They arent great at all but it would be easier to deal with if someone wanted the stuff. The only power opition it had was power mirrors. I have the switchplate from the console.
It was possible to get a 1983-86 base Cougar or T-Bird with crank windows and vent windows, but of course the power mirrors were required. Sometimes the L-M dealerships would order stripped-down models (aka "value leaders") to entice people into the cars whom otherwise would not be able to afford them. Remember, these were quite expensive cars for their day. So those combos, while unusual, were probably a little more "normal" back then.
