Title: I need a set of cruise control buttons with the wiring intact...
Post by: vinnietbird on October 27, 2008, 04:43:17 PM
I need some cruise buttons in good shape.I'm working on a project, and don't want to sacrifice my buttons in my steering wheel. No wheel, just the buttons with their wire.Anyone got a pair that they need to toss out?

Take the screws out of the back, and they'll slide out with a gently push and pry.Nothing to it.Make sure they are coming from a s wheel.I don't want to mess up anything good.

I couldn't even imagine what your making with those. But it just gave me some ideas for those little buttons, myself.

Why don't you fix the one you got? Or at least see whats wrong with it. You would still have to set another used one up. You can't just drop one in and hope.

You sure it's the diff?

If you throw those switches on an early fox Mustang wheel I'm going to be pissed :hick:

That's a down the road plan for me...

This got me thinking... It would be cool to hook them up for Nitrous...

I like the whole idea of stock switchs used of other things. I use the AutoDim adjust rolling swithes for my amp cut off switch when I had my subs. No one was the wiser

They will be used as cruise switches.Wait til I finish, you'll see.

As far as the rear, the spare I have came from a driver that was smacked and bent the core support and then parted out.It was a good one.I need to swap mine asap because I have a dyno test Friday for the Sport.2 pulls for $10.00  (If I get the rear swapped and make it there, results soon after).I can have the rear that's being pulled checked later. It'll be in the garage until then.I'll pick up the new diff fluid and friction modifier, bearings and seals, tomorrow, and by friday afternoon should have it all done.I'll post pics if possible.
