i got it from a 93 f150 complete with accessories. it was a friend's truck that got totalled by a tree falling on it. it does need a full rebuild. as it made some noise and had low oil pressure.
another friend also gave me a core AOD for FREE. (tv cable wasnt hooked up after rebuild, and burned up)
YOU SUCK! LOL. I wish I could come up on free anything. I really really want to swap my motor out. I just sold my subs and a set of ponies and I have 400 somethin left that is realy to leave my hands im the name of speed but I doubt I will get any enjoyment out of this money. It will all go to bills and that . What are your plans for the set up? Are we going to have another 408 around here?

just a little update on the 351w....
i bought some NEW eBay(chinese) forged i-beam rods w/ ARP bolts, NEW speed-pro hyper .030" over pistons, NEW Powerbond SFI balancer, Scat SFI flexplate, FREE set of Canfield aluminum heads(that need some work), Vic Jr carb intake($100), and a NEW 292H Comp Cam hydro flat-tappet cam. i took all these parts to the machine shop and should have them back in a couple of weeks. if the stock crank i gave them winds up being bad, i may just sell the pistons i have and buy a 3.85" crank and .030 302 pistons for a 393ci stroker.
then it's all going in the '80 mustang coupe i bought for $100. :)

phhhhht, my 460 and tranny was free....well for the stress of letting my buddy drive it unregisterd and uninsured....for three months...

one of the spark plug threads has a pin hole allowing coolant to leak out.
forgot to mention i also picked up a chromoly PA k-member($250), and a set of 1-3/4" longtube 351w fox headers for J-302 heads($100). ill have to find adapters or have someone change the s out to bolt onto my heads.
I really do hate you. You might as well go 408 for the same price.

if i go with a 393, i can still use my rods. that'll save a few hundred bucks. and honestly i dont see that much gain from 15 extra cubes.
Sweet i scored my 351 for $100 out of f-150. I tore it down and its all fresh not to long ago. still see cross hatches. I installed headgaskets,roller conversion 5.0, now will go in my 88hatch when all said n done. But free is way better!!!! good luck on your project.
im waiting to get my heads back from the machine shop, so i decided to assemble the shortblock. i was given one pair of used rod bearings on accident, so ill be getting that swapped out later today. (that's why only seven pistons are installed)
Nice, I'll be starting my motor rebuild soon, this just makes me want to get going that much more.
the last piston is in, and ill have my heads back today. the shop had to shave .030" off! i asked them to CC them, since that's a significant jump in compression. ill have pics later today.
got the heads back on Friday. they were milled .030" to 58cc, new 2.02"/1.60" Manley valves, new Comp Cam 10 degree locks, new Comp Cams spring cups, and a 5-angle valve job was done. i dont know the brand of the springs, but they have 115# closed seat pressure, and are good up to .600" lift. :D
2 more before i painted the block bronze.....
