Title: Project 'Blue Beast'
Post by: LXBird on October 05, 2008, 08:11:03 PM
This is my first car, its an 1988 LX, i bought it off an older lady who owned it since new. it has 72, 000 kms and the interior looks perfect. there is only one thing wrong, the previous owner had rear ended her husbands truck in the driveway. that car had been oiled yearly and has next to no rust on the underside here's some pic's tell me what ya think?

Hold your reset button for the tripometer and then press your trip button and it should beep and that service button should go off. as long as its just a scheduled check up code. looks good so far. Nice Stang. Way to keep it a 4 eye
Title: Project 'Blue Beast'
Post by: LXBird on October 19, 2008, 10:55:03 AM
Thanks for all the good words.. the stang is my fathers and he would have nothing but a 4 eye, we tried to find a decent 4 eyed Bird up here but they were all rotten as I have limited funds to work with as I am only 15 and only work part time. The Mustang doesnt hook from first to second and then settles down and the third gear is tough to get as it has a stock T5 which really is too weak for the HP its producing. If he keeps it has been talking about C4/3000 stall conversion.... LXBird

I wonder what the lady would think of it now. People I bought my car from still like the fact that I still have my car and keep putting the work into it.

Difference is yours is looking nicer and mine is looking uglier!

This car is going to be another one of the finer examples of our cars.

Nice progress so far man...you should trade your AOD from the 'Bird for your Dad's T5 out of the stang...lol.  My first 'Bird was that color and I never saw another one in person the same color...I never knew what the color looked like when it was right, mine was so oxidized it just looked terrible...I love the choice to keep it that color.

Good luck and keep up the good work!

Not a fan of those either. Would look real nice on some Cobras.
