Eric already knows this, but I was waiting on official word before I posted it.
I just wanted you all to know that near the end of April, we will be adding a new member to the Guest and Cat Jam family, and he or she will make their official appearance to the rest of you at Cat Jam '09.
My son Hunter and his girlfriend Cortnee (you met her at CJ '08) will be having a baby.
Yes, Roger and I are going to be grandparents. (or as Eric put it, we've been Palined!):rollin:
We know this is going to be hard on the kids, since they are kids themselves. They are both Juniors in high school still. But Hunter is looking for a job and Cortnee will have one in November.
Her parents and Roger and I will be helping them out quite a bit too.
I was really hoping they'd wait till they graduated and were married before having a baby, but life doesn't always work out the way we plan.
So, I will be known as "GG" now (Grandma Guest)... but only to the baby.... the rest of you, well, I'll have to hurt ya if you call me grandma! LMAO
From my "Blissfully Depressed" thread 9/04/08:
All's fair in love, war and getting old.
Congrats,Grandma!!
Congrats Grandma,
Has Roger realized he's going to be a grandpa yet? Or hasn't it really hit him yet? LOL
Your also going to need another cougar to transport everyone to Catjam now.
That's funny, It'll probably be in the dictionary by next year.
I wish you nothing but wonderful times with your grandchild.
I'm sure you'll be the "cool Grandma" too.
Karen, that kid may have been conceived in the back of my cougar on the way to cat jam.. those 2 were getting awfully close, and well i couldn't see out the window from all the condensation!
Congratulations Grandma!
BAHAHAHAH!!!!
Well, ya know Alex, I was kind of wondering if it happened in your car... it's a good thing you clarified it was while you were driving, or I'd have wondered... you Hunky Hungarian! LMAO
Mayhem... thanks. ;)
Jerry, I don't think it has really hit him yet. He's been concerned about a lot of things lately and this kind of adds to the mix. But I believe he'll come around to it before too long.
I am secretly hoping for a boy. Roger has had all girls and he adopted Dakota and Hunter a few years ago, so he's never had a baby boy around. I think it would be extra special to him if he got a boy out of the deal. ;)
Guess its time to give Aunt Keeley a call...
LOL, maybe... but do you have her new number? I can't remember if I gave it to you, if not, PM me.
Awh congratulations!
