Title: mustang headlights on 87,88 t-bird?
Post by: racerc2000 on October 01, 2008, 10:58:58 PM
just wondering has anyone attempted this yet? either the plain crystal headlights using just the 4 center pieces and stock corner or.....one of the new type fox headlights (one piece ones) and molding the mustang corner fender extention  piece to the tbird (http://www.mrbodykit.com/images/lights/87_mustang_oemheadlights.jpg)

none of themwill fit if thats what your asking.

dealing with plastics, they are too different to "make" work.

if you can pull it off it may be worth the time and effort but i have my doubts.

I sure do like those dark one piece light assemblies.Sweeeeet.I'd like to see someone do the header panel mod. That's something I'd try if I had an extra header panel.

well, im buying new headlights for the mustang this winter...i wouldnt mind seeing some smoked 01 up lights in a tcoupe headerpanel.
i couldnt put the time into it but...ill sell em cheap!

modding the fender probably would be the deal breaker given the way the nose goes together on these cars. i dunno, ive never done a lick of body work.

Headlamps (1987-88 Cougar only) 1988-94 Lincoln Continental (FWD)

Other than that nothing is a swap that wont take alot of work

yea I know what ya mean. headlight swaps were alot easier on the 4 eye tbird, mustang, camaros hehe just use these (http://www.carpartswholesale.com/images/cpw_performance/thumbs200/replacement/20-1624-28.jpg)

and I was accualy thinkin bout the newer stang lights also. even the retro ones but itd be hard to make em work with tbird lines
