Title: dream cars?!?!
Post by: quicksilver on October 01, 2008, 11:42:01 AM
what car is your dream car?

mine is reasonably cheap for a dream car, but mine is a 03-04 SVT cobra terminator. i absolutly love these cars. the first time i laid my eyes on one was at church. My paster owns one. he talks about how fast it is and how is speeds (just up to the speed limit) around in it.. it makes me smile! :)

One thing I HAVE to give the Frenchies.....;)

THIS thing. 1957 - 1963ish Facel Vega Excellance. I actually like the 4 door WAY better than the 2-dr coupe. Just LOOK at it. In 57 they looked like that. Talk about behind ahead of the curve. And that front end just screams GTO-before-there-was-a-GTO. ;) At least for me anyway. Its got a 331 Hemi powering it so under the hood is red white n blue...I'd LOVE one of those. I'd throw some 5-slot mags on it...EPIC WIN.

A real AC Cobra 427 S/C. It always has been and likely always will be my dream car. Any kind of modern 911, tied with a '63 T-bird, follows close behind.

My dream car doesn't exist, because I haven't built it yet ;)

1949 Merc lead sled, retractible hard top, all chopped & channelled, fully modern interior, suspension, brakes, lighting and drivetrain (prolly a Terminator engine/tranny).

If I had to dream about somebody else's work, though, it'd likely be the Bugatti Veyron. Or a Ford GT. Or a 2009 ZR1. Or a nice, big Bentley Coupe. Yeah, I know, expensive taste, but if you're gonna dream, dream big...

Simco Classic Series Mustang 6 Gauge Insert

Steeda full chrome package

Procharger or Kenne Bell SC set-up

QUARTER WINDOW COVER, SHELBY LOGO, BRUSHED ALUMINUM

Rear window louvers

Sam's fox thundercats SEQ tail light kit

Agent 47™ '05 Brake Cooling Kit

ETC.........just a half way nice shopping List

Mine would be a 68 Cougar XR7 done up by Troy Trepanier (Rad Rides by Troy) along the same lines as he did Joe Rogans Sick Fish. Of course I'd have to work on it every day with his team, as I can't see it being my dream car without turning some wrenches on it to make it happen.

You can find pics of the Sick Fish project here (http://"http://www.radrides.com/gal.htm") and here (http://"http://www.gorillapowdercoating.com/projects/autos/sickfish/sickfish.htm")

My dream car..........
Would be the one that started it all; the 1967 Cougar.  But then I either have no imagination, or am just obsessed with the Cougar :)

Mine is in my sig.
I dream about the day that it's a whole car again.
It will also be a new car to me again, like the day I brought it home in 1989. Same car, but not anything like it was.

My wife also finally got her dream car.

My dream car used to be the 03/04 Cobra. That has been replaced by the Audi RS4. Any year will do. :)

See my sig, only imagine paint, bodywork, and a 351w-based-427TT under the hood, along with a T56 and a 9"....
I don't need much too fancy...the above should do for me for the thrills section. I figure with a twin turbo 427 it oughtta be gnarly enough to scare the bejesus out of me. :rollin:

I would have to build it myself, but I would have to say my ultimate dream car would be a 1970-71 Torino GT Fastback with a Boss 429 put in it and a 4 speed. Very few if any Torinos ever came with a Boss motor, but they should have. It would've been a lot better balanced package, and easier to build than the Boss 429 Mustang. :hick:

Now if we're talking a factory car then probably a 1970 Cougar XR7 with a M code 351C and 4 speed.

A BOSS 429 Torino would be cool :D

Now if you're going for a 70 Cougar XR7 why not a 428CJ car? ;)

Awful lot of Torino lovers here.  My Brother just sold this one last Friday...

Pick one dream car?  That's tough.  There are a hundred cars I dream of owning.  I guess if I had to pick just one, it would be the first Ford GT, in its most basic form.
