Title: Engine Wiring Harness removal/inst
Post by: the_intimidator03 on September 26, 2008, 12:56:52 AM
ive pondered this several times.  what is the proper way of removing and installing an efi engine harness?  i tend to cut metal to remove the ecu plug thru the firewall when pulling a harness.  Upon proper removal and instalation... do you push the main ecu connection thru the fire wall or do you push all the engine connectors thru the firewal into the engine bay?

From the times that I have done this(not in a Fox) I had to push the ECU connector through the hole.  pretty sure that is how it is done. I can't see ford man cutting the metal to install a new harness.

The ECU connector should be fed through the opening from the engine compartment... You're only dealing with maybe two ft of harness...
