Well, I love the look, hate the colour. LOL.
I also like the hood scoop, but Love the rims.
What is your decision on the paint scheme?
I like the hood, but hate military colors on cars that aren't in the military.I just don't get it.I was military for some time, and olive drab isn't a color to brag about on your POV.Go with Ford's Estate Green.Nice color, metal flake, and shiny.I do like the wheels and hood a lot.Are they Cobra wheels?
I like things that dont shine, I love flat finnishes, but black is over done and gray just doesnt do it for me. The wheels are saleens and the hood is one of my own design and will be done by the end of the month with any luck.
Well, have the car painted gloss olive drab green, apply appropriate military decals (caution:hot exhaust....open door here.....fuel....lift here.....Turbo Coupe (in military type letters)....the tire pressure stencils above each tire on the fenders......pilot's name.....co-pilot's name....etc.),spray the car with flat clear coat to protect the declas, and enjoy......I think.
There are assloads of suede colors on the market today FWIW.....
I dont like cowl hoods on these cars, but looks nice overall.
Looks cool,, i like flat colors myself,,,,,but i only have one question,,,where did you get a model of the t bird,,,,ive been looking for a cougar one forever but cant find it.... ive been trying to carve my "ideal cougar" out of a block of foam........
Looks like a Ford version of the HOTROD "F-bomb" Camaro. I'm not a big fan of flat finishes but its your car so go for it and do what you want...it will be different and your own so thats what matters most.
Revell made those T-Birds.I have a few around here somewhere. They didn't make Fox Cougars, only the Turbo Coupe.
Why the hole in the hood? The scoop looks pretty good, I'm just not clear on the need for the leading edge hole?
they still make the tc here is the link http://www.revell.com/catalog/products/1_24th_Basic_Builder_87_T_Bird_Turbo_Coupe-914-6.html (http://"http://www.revell.com/catalog/products/1_24th_Basic_Builder_87_T_Bird_Turbo_Coupe-914-6.html")
I like the flat colors. Thinking about using somewhat simliar colors to my 85 should I ever bring it back from the dead (not likely). Not too keen with the layout of the flat black on the hood though...
is that a scale model?
the first words on that link is the brand name and then 1:24...
Thye hood is an air extractor hood I post pics of the real one I'm building as soon as it is on the car, and the black on the hood is a throw back to the 60's. I'm 99.9% sold on going green, the 1% is still stuck on the favtory gray.
i went to the chevy show here at atlanta dragway (nice looking at chevy parts when im working on a ford :punchballs: ) and they had model car stands galore and i spent 15 min looking through the models and yep there was a turbo coupe. i got a not "pimped out" dicast 64 ss impala instead. i would mod one but i hate the turbo coupe header panel and i just dont wanna dive into that type of work. keep those models you have guys b/c they're getting rare but you could prolly find one at any swap meet with a big name aka chevy show. ive come accross them quite a few times... just not a tc fan :raspberry

btw im a fan of flat colors too, im ganna go down that road with my car. the green looks good but im with the gloss guys. a nice dark luxurious mintish green would set it off. the color that comes to mind would be on a 96ish? ranger.. i think the whole top side of the front end should be flat black like mopars. im getting a tuner carbon fiber vibe from the hood... this is american muscle, we dont need to take the plywood off the front end man come on. lol :D
you know, just throw some gloss on that green.
You need the 2005 mustang lime green or the new Bullit green color other than that looks good just wrong shade of green.
not realy a ricer thing.
