Title: AOD to C4
Post by: slvr98svt on March 15, 2005, 09:03:57 PM
Hey guys, new to the forum which is pretty good by the way.  Anyway I have a blown up AOD in my bird.  I am building a mild 347 stroker to go back in it and plan on using an extra C4 I have laying around.  Just wondering if any of you have done it, and what all is entailed.  I am currently looking to swap in a 8.8 TC rear with 3.73 also...if you have one laying around!!  Anyway it was a stock 88 TBird AOD 5.0 LX.  Just going to be a fun weekend car to drive around so if anyone has any input on the swap lemme know.
Thanks Alot,
-Matt

i would think that swapping the flywheel/torque converter would be all you need to do. and maybe modifying the crossmember. if you have a pan fill C-4 (like i) then you have really nothing else to do. oh... shorten the driveshaft. checked here >>> coolcats site (http://www.coolcats.net/tech/advanced/transmission_swap.html)

welcome to the forum. ^_^
