Title: 3 random quirks
Post by: jpc647 on August 12, 2008, 10:37:38 PM
All three of these are occuring on my 1987 turbo coupe

If I turn on my interrior lights, them switch them off, my doors unlock. Is this normal?

Also, If I am braking and I try to put my drivers side window down, its skips going down. It works fine otherwise.

Also, randomly my fuel gauge and my temperature gauge on my dash will skyrocket. After 20 seconds or so, they will both come down together back to where they were. Any ideas?

Are any of these problems normal? How do I fix them if not?

most likely the instrument voltage regulator on the back of the gauge cluster...a fairly common issue

None of that is normal.
What features do you have? ABS or Keyless entry?
Is everything stock?

I have abs and keyless entry. Everything is stock.

The only thing modified on this car is that airbox was cut. so hte filter is open to the elements. The knucklehead before me thought it looked better.

Check your ground wire from the battery to the body.
