Title: Mach 1 cold air kit
Post by: Lion-O on August 11, 2008, 12:16:47 AM
Hey guys I was wondering have any1 put the mach1 cold air kit on their cougar. The set-up that goes underneath the front bumper and is a straight set-up for a cougar. If you have pics, that might help me out visually, thanks. 86 coug ls 5.0

Are you talking about the Ram Air kit? Mach 1s had the scoop though the hood

Are you talking about the March ram air kit or the Mach 1 chin spoiler?

It's a striaght up install on a TC bumper.  You have to do a little work on a normal T-bird or Cougar bumper.  I'm doing a mock-up.  Some cutting is/will be involved.  I've only taken measurements so far......Pics will come ;)

You'd need a Mach1 Chin spoiler.....

On a side note I see pics of an 86 TC lower front bumper in another thread.

Looks like a good place to hang an aftermarket spoiler for an S-197 (maybe one of the one's from Shelby or CDC).
