trying to figure out how im gonna get this thing across 7 states. i have a pallet i can put it on, but i dont know if i need to build a crate or not. it will be shipped by truck(freight).
I think the shipping company could probably tell you. I guess if it's strapped down to the crate, you could always mabe make a cardboard cover.
My welder came freight from Ohio. a cardboard box strapped to a pallet.
My trans I just got only had a pallet wrapped with shrink wrap, but make sure its completely empty because if they see a leak or some fluid the shipping company will freak.
My 5 speed with the bell housing bolted to it was crated and shipped to me from Washington for $120.00.
120 seems cheap to me. who did u use.
It came to me via UPS.
x2
I got a tranny for my daughter's car shipped from Georgia to Minnesota and it cost $130. It was strapped on a pallet and shrink wrapped. That was about 4-5 months ago and we used ConWay. And it had NO fluid in it.
Can't be much more difficult than a chin spoiler ;)
when I got my Performance automatic trans it was in a carbord box with a peice of ply wood on the bottom and a few bolts holding a few parts that I cannot think of rite now it was a few years ago now. and I picked it up so no Idea of shipping. just giving you an Idea
They can strap it down for you at the freight place.
I had my Richmond 5spd sent to me, came in a box(with fitted styrofoam) strapped to a small pallet. I have no idea what the cost was.
