Title: Fuel Pumps
Post by: jpc647 on July 26, 2008, 09:07:12 PM
Are the fuel pumps in the gas tanks the same for the 1987 and 1988 v6 and v8 thunderbirds? My tank has a hole in it, so ill be spending tomorow replacing it, and i know the fuel pump in my parts car is newer than the one in the v6. I figured It'd change it while i had the tank out.

tank in the cfi cars is different (83-84)...  you need the tank with a seperate fuel pump and sending unit hole......  advance has one for $200.... auto zone is about the same......  i got mine from a junk yard that DIDN'T drill holes in them... it was $75....

here's one on ebay for 145 with shipping
