Is there a "safe" way to remove the underhood ducting from the 87/88 TC hoods? Mine appears to be riveted.
Just drill out the rivets. It won't harm a thing.
okay, thanks.
Be careful, don't want to go through and stab the hood skin.
Personally, I'd grind the heads off.
He shouldnt go though as they are riveted to the cross supports if the hood.
I drilled mine out and it wasnt a problem
ive pulled several off by hand.

Lol can't say I've kept mine bone stock, I don't have a top mount on it anymore, but I didn't go ripping stuff off it when I was done! lmao
I just put a flat screwdriver tip next to the rivets, tapped it good with a hammer, goodbye rivets. No damage.
an old screwdriver and big hammer worked like a charm, thanks
Simple,yet effective.The old screwdriver/hammer combo are almost unbeatable.LOL.
