Title: 302 V8 CFI coolant change
Post by: Shevretti on July 17, 2008, 07:00:53 PM
Hi!
I'm gonna change coolant this weekend and I was wondering if 302 is pr0ne to taper air after filling it up with fresh coolant? The reason I ask is that 3.8 was hard to fill to the top until it warmed up (until I installed flushing tee I also use to release air from the system while filling up).
Thanks!
Mariusz...

Most cars these days have the same problem... Stems from a fully sealed thermostat(quicker warm up), cars of old had a small(maybe .050") hole in them so they would bleed out the air easily...

What I do, is disconnect the heater hose on the intake and refill it till it starts running out, usually that gets enough in it to circulate...
