Can I use 96 2.3 Ranger injectors in my 88 turbo coupe? What are the pressure spec on the 88's injectord vs. the ranger?
Thanks!
Forget it way dumb question.. Tbird uses #24 injectors. Ranger uses #15 injectors. I would probably lean my engine and fry it..
turbo coupe uses 36lb injectors.
And are low ohm v.s the n/a high ohm setup
Cool guys thanks for the tip!
You could drill the intake and install a second set :hick: (even then it would be lean)...
A pair of 19lb HO inj per cylinder would be about right... Being high resistance, the TC peak and hold low impedance EEC would be happy...
I do believe that most are finding old CFI injectors to up the ante on the 2.3.t Those 36lbs' are good for close to 300hp with the right fuel pump/pumps.
Yeah I was just wondering because I need a set of good Turbo Coupe injectors, think mine are bad or leaky. Does anyone know how to test these?
If it isn't the "O" rings leaking, they're bad(very common with the 35lb units)...
About five years ago, friend bought a set of MOPAR injectors to use in his 2.3T... AFIK there was never a problem...
Hmmm, sounds interesting, yeah I know somethings going on now. If I drive the car for like 5 minutes and it warms up, when I come back home and leave it idling, it sounds fine, smooth idle, no hiccups. Anter a minute it starts to have the sputtering noise in the exhause and you can feel the engine vibration. It totally seems like it starts to recieve more fuel than it should. I now replaced the FPR, same thing happening. Wish I could test these bad boys and see if there shot. Some dude at AutoZone told me I could rebuild the injectors? Sounds like a red flag to me.
The AZ guy is full of shiznit... They can possibly be repaired by a specialty shop...
If they aren't leaking externally(puddling gas on the intake), I doubt you have a injector problem...
Could I use Tbird SC #30 red top injectors?
No there is no puddling but I did ohm them, 3 around 2ohms, 1 around 8ohms... Makes me wonder if it's messed up.
