Title: Looking for input

Getting ready to paint my kids 83 and am debating if I should take it down to bare metal or just fix the 1 small ding and go from there. What do you guys use for stripping paint?

Do you really need to take it down that far?

I looked at it again and dont think so. I guess I am just used to the old ones I have put back together which all required a ton more work and repair. The 65's are basically better than new which I only take to shows and since this is my kids first car I dont want to go overboard.

unless there's paint or clear coat peeling off, or several coats of paint, I wouldn't bother to strip it. unless you may think there's rust under it.
