So I brought my mustang to the track last night, I'm not happy with the results.
10.45 on the 1/8
I don't think anything went wrong, I felt I had a good RT and the car hooked better than usual but it should be in the 9s, granted its a vert and a little heavier but I guess only another pass will tell. They don't give ya slips so... Anyhow, the mustang is grounded for now, shes locked up in her room =P Her little brother the ninja is only one allowed to come out and play at the moment due to her poor performance at the track.
year??? 5.0??? 4.6??? Wouldn't be a bad time for a v6...
thats really not 2 bad whats mods does it have and what year and what motor?
Need more info. please....
'88 GT 'vert.
Nice to know but wheres the pictures of it? theres millions of Mustangs but in my short life i will never get to see them all but since your here i want to see it.
Sorry, I don't have a camera, working on that.
Its a SD 5.0 with a BBK CAI, Underdrives, offroad hpipe/flowmasters, AC & Smog deletes, subframes/strutbrace and shiznitty ass tires
Problem #1.....
Auto or stick?
What rear gears?
Yeah problem 1 there. Ask me about trying to launch a GT40 headed 5.0 on stock 215 section tires...................:hick:
Auto with B&M Shift kit. and 2.73s, I'm changin those out with 3.55s I think
Problem #2: AOD
Problem #3: 2.73
Problem #4: Heavy Vert
Combine them all and they add up to S L O W. Stock vert fox stangs were always slow. It's normal.
Not if set up correctly.....
With some 3.55 gears and some good tires should do allright do you powershift it or not?
Not so... All he needs a better torque converter...
That, some gears(and don't screw around, go 3.73s), sticky tires and good tune up should knock over a second off the ET...
