For the kick down cable on the throttle lever at the TB.
Anybody have one.
If it is missing, what are some of the issues that can arrise.
My 88' seems to have no real kick down at wot from slow starts and I am missing the grommet.
TIA.
I recently gor new grommets from the ford dealer. i dont have any extra though....
how much did they cost?? just wondering i johnny rigged it with a small wire tie! works just fine now but i'd rather have the part
Its not a kickdown cable,Its a tv cable, you will kill the trans if it is not hooked up.do a search for tv cable.you can get new grommets at ford usaully sell them in 5 packs there brass.
If you're looking for the grommet for the tv cable, that connects to the underside the throttle body, you can get them from ford. They're white plastic and come two in a bag, I've never seen them in brass before. Ford also makes blue and orange grommets, but a little bigger and fit the transmission linkage. The grommets cost about $3.00 each.
got a part # for the plastic or brass ones?--irv
I can get the brass # when I get home this afternoon. It was less than $10 at ford.
