I am putting a front bumper cover from a Turbo on my 87 T-Bird.The side molding where the turn light is. isn,t the same and the only differants I can seei s the one from the Turbo has a slot cut out to fit over the metal thats on the bumper cover.Plus it has the red stripe.So can I alter mine to fit? That way I can keep my crome stripe.Also can I swap out the stripes so I can have crome on the Turbo bumper? Thanks
When I swapped my TC bumper cover on,the trim was a simple bolt on as well.No mods necessary.It fit right over the bumper cover as the TC part did.Just the trim color was different,red for the TC,chrome for everybody else.
The red stripe is just tape, carefully warm it up with a blow drier and find a edge on one end or the other. peel the red tape of and use 3m adheasive remover on the left over glue. cleans up good. I did mine 15 years ago. worked good.

When changing to the TC bumper,must I change my header panel also?I was putting things back together using the TC bumper I painted the inside of the bumper to match the car and the non TC header panel.The header panel would not line up.So do I have to make it a complete change over? Oam idoing something wrong?
The bumper cover will work the same for the TC or standard header panel.Something else must be wrong.Make sure the header panel is sitting down on the lower corners on top of the bumper cover.
