not bad, except if the goal was to learn "proper body work", then you should have removed ALL the trim and painted it seperatly.. and used proper automotive grade paint ;) :D

I'll bet you could silicone caulk the body moulding to the car, and it would look like it's all one piece.

Wow, it's like deja vu all over again. Seeing that car in grey primer reminds me of this:

...and the finished product reminds me of this:

Like you, mine was my first paint job. I used actual car paint, though - the original oxford white :hick: I also removed all the trim, all side glass, the door handles, door locks, emblems, etc...

Looks good that would of been no good if you face planted on the roof.

How did you paint the roof?
The cougar has a small runway for a roof and I ended up kicking the door when I put my second coat on.  Luckily the paint smoothed out.

Still, I think I almost face planted the roof about 3 times trying.

I have a small plastic step stool about 18" tall that I got up on to paint the roof. I'm 6'3 and it normally wouldn't have been an issue, but the car was on jackstands and was higher than normal.

No, but it sure would've been funny to read about :rollin:

I paint all my cars using 16" platform benches.
I get a good view and reach with them.
used a 6' stepladder for my van.

Got anymore pics for us?

I have many pictures. For example, this one is of an obese Chihuahua.

Hahaha the randomness of that just made me LOL for about 5 minutes
