Title: Driver's Seat Squeek
Post by: 85bird on June 06, 2008, 02:31:42 PM
My 85 Bird drivers seat is in good condition, but over time it has began to lean toward the inside of the car.  As a result, there is a squeek every time I hit a bump.  The squeek sounds like it is coming from the back side of the seat, around my left shoulder.

Anybody have the same experience?  It does not look like I can get inside the seats...

Can the seat lean be fixed?  The squeek too?

the seat frames are really weak. I heard of people welding theres, but I dont know what else I could add to that. I would just switch it out, or switch out the front seats with a 94+ gt and place them on the stock cougar/tbird frames

I'll have to be on the lookout.  The bummer thing is that the seats are in perfect conditon other wise.
