Well it's my digital ride :D
I have pretty much finished my 3d project making the Thunderbird. I thought I'd post it here since not too many people wander down to the Photochops section.
Here is my version of what a Jack Roush version of the Thunderbird would look like. I tried to keep it simple and not go too wild with it.
After many, many hours of work here she is: (Now I just got to get Roush to build it!)

Looks Good!
Looks like there is alot of roll on the front fenders but I like it! I like the first rims better.
Im guessing you couldnt tuck the headlights or the mirror up closer? I suck at moving stuff around on programs like that, it never goes where i want it to and if it does i dont know how i did it
The pics with the other wheels were quickly rendered just to show you the wing and ducts. The chrome came out too 'chromy' ;)
Yeah, might have to tuck the lights in a bit more. Having no blueprints made getting everything perfect impossible.
Did one more render... I think it turned out much better:

Cross-drilled rotors make baby Jesus weep.
Having said that, still an amazing job.
bingo my new desktop backgound
Very nice!
I do like the chromed rims better though... but, my "favorite color is chrome"! lol
i liked the grey rims better and personally the lil duct thing in front of the rear tire is an eye sore. very nice job though.
X2 VERY cool man...
Yeah I cant even imagine how difficult it was! great job though
Chuck W isn't going to like you then... :rollin:
Thanks guys for the comps... It really was a lot of work. About a month and a half using all my spare time. The lack of real blueprints really made it tough.
Anyways I thought I should just repost the original stock body 'Bird I made since the mods are a matter of personal taste.
Here it is in wallpaper size:

And blue version:

I like the matte black on the hood in the first shots. Similar to what I plan for Turbokitty except I'll be taking that all the way down to the bumper including the grill.
ChuckW's NACA ducts on the rockers... Good thinkin'. ;)
All in all, VERY nice.
For a bird, that is. ;)
Thanks Mayhem!
Yeah, I think when I repaint my real life 'Bird, I'm gunna paint it silver with a matte black hood. I am really enamored on how good T'Birds look in silver.
I'm gunna play around with some more custom scoop designs. Regular 'ol scoops don't look all that great on T'bird/Cougars. You really have to be careful as Birds already have such great lines, anything you add will most likely screw up the look. On Mustangs for example usually look great with scoops, spoilers, wings and such...Tbirds/Cougars, not so much....
Nothing wrong with a clean stock hood either. Just my opinion. :)
Great renders man!
Here's one I did back in the day.

Great job man. It looks awesome. I like the bullitts better.
the 1st picture is the best but they all look good.
now try a 87-88 Saleen concept? please.
Not bad Baxo! Looks like a model for a game... Did it ever go into a game mod?
Do you do any modeling anymore??
As for 87-88s, this last model took a lot out of me...I gotta take a break from modeling for at least a little while.. It's very time intensive. But after than yeah maybe. ;)
They all look awesome. I'd like to try some modeling if I ever find the time.
I didn't actually model it. It was someone from cougarnuts that did it a while back and yes it's purpose was for gaming. I aquired the 3ds model from him a few years ago. All i did was turn it into a convertible, and model the seats, and the tonneau cover and the colours. Oh and lighting and what not.
But me personally, I haven't done any modeling in a very long time. There's just so many hours in a day, and well you probably know, 3d modelling needs like.. all of those hours LOL.
Man, that is a sweet looking ride and some awesome work on your part.
Is a Cougar Eliminator next on your agenda? :D
Nice job on the renderings, but I don't think there's a reason to put any name on there besides yours.
Question: how hard would it be to use that to model different paint schemes?
Changes schemes isn't too hard, unless it is really elaborate.
Wanna make a version for the 1987-1988 thunderbirds?
Please?
John
got one better, chop off the rear and the header panel and do a Cougar!
Simple scheme, just different colors.
If you decide to the 87-88 Thunderbird style...let me know. You do very nice work. I would be willing to pay you to do a rendering of my 88 from a picture.
If you're taking requests, I'd like to see a two-tone: white above the rub strip; from the rub strip down, med regatta blue (high) fading to light regatta blue (low).
t3skidoo..Do you have any pics of the car on teh left of your sig?
Yes, what are you looking for?
Just to see what it looks like with the black and white paint combo.
I think that pic is misleading. Look here..

I've got more pics if that doesn't do it.
I like it!!!
