I see we have a new banner with a gold TC.... Me like :D
The gold and dark charcoal are the only two color TCs I haven't owned... Did have a chance to get a gold one, but was a rag and passed on it...
man, that gold car is sharp! I'd not mind owning that car at all...
Not bad, now that you mention it.
What's the occasion for the new banner? National Cobra R day?
Who's gold t-bird is that anyways? Looks sweet.
what are you guys talking about? I still see the old red cougar and blue tbird :dunno:
I was bored at work so I made a new banner. Right now it's only on the "stock" version of the board, but on Thursday it will be active on all versions. I got the pix from my own site, BTW.
awesome Eric...looks much better. it cought my eye right away
I see it now. very nice
Ahh now its there, Nice.
I noticed it yesterday, but wasn't sure if it had been up there for a while or not, nice Erick.
Don't forget the direct links to Sam's site and Coolcats (the little rectangular pics in the middle). Click there, to go there.
Unfortunately, I seem to have lost the ability to return from a forum directly to the main page here by clicking on the big picture. Did someone forget to include an "area SHAPE=default HREF=.... " in the coding to cover everything in the picture apart from Sam and Eric's sites? :shoothead
It's all fixed now guys. And I did add that back for navigation, MasterBlaster.
I wonder why you didn't go for examples with stock wheels. Looks good though.
Well, I wanted to find a T-Bird and a Cougar with similar poses...those just both happened to have Cobra R's on them. I'm planning to change that graphic periodically and will certainly try to get a good variety of cars (stock and modified).
am i just realy dense? whats this new banner?
o $hit, i had to refresh... looks bad ass. :)
Any way to set up a series of banners that randomly cycle?
If you find yourself with nothing to do some day, I've got a sugestion. ;)
The cruising club here in Edmonton that I frequent has an alternating banner. Every time you refresh it's a different car imposed on the same banner. All member's cars. I think that would be very cool, and another incentive to take part in the forums.
http://www.wolfpackcc.com
Yeah, it can definitely be done. That's how my site is set up...just copying the code over, creating a new directory for the images, and pointing everything to that should work. Only problem is, I need a greater variety of photos than what I've got to work with (which is essentially from my site only). I'd need good pix of cars in cool poses. And I'd need all years represented, 1983 through 1988, with both T-Birds and Cougars. Had a hard time finding pre-1987 cars with good poses. If y'all are willing to post some good pix that I can use, consider it done.
Sure there is.. same way he's got a different picture in the corner of his site (COOL CATS), and background picture every time the page refreshes.
Cmon.. you know i got some good poses of my cat ;)
hears some of mine if your interested
one more
Yeah, that last one...that's what I'm talking about. That's a great shot.
i have a few as well. how will these ones do?
How's that? If you want to use it, I may be able to find a larger version.

As some of you may have noticed, I only have one, count 'em, one, good picture of my T-bird.......... at least I think so. I took about 8-9 that day. Hold on, I may have to eat those words.
Those are great...keep 'em coming.
Oldraven, can we get one of you in the kilt? ;)
Here's a couple of the 20th I used to have. Don't know if that counts or not:

i guess i better get the driver for my digital cam loaded up here soon
That all depends? Is it for the banner, or your own personal picture archive? :giggle:
Oh, for the banner of course! Can you imagine if we put that in rotation? ;)
We'd definately loose a few potential members. :giggle:
And maybe gain a few unwanted ones. :wtf:
That's cool that we can have it rotate. Wasn't sure the limits of the board, if you could code whatever you wanted up there. The best pic I have right now is the one in my sig (larger version here: http://members.tccoa.com/ssx/CougarNE3.jpg) I might take some better pictures tomarrow.
Not mine (but I am dealing on one just like it;) ) but you might be able to use them anyway.
I miss the pic of my Tbird. :(
Guess that means I better take more pics! One of these days.
Eric, I have original brochures from 84' on up, I can scan and send you the pics of any and all if you need them. Also, here are a few of my own.
 FORD GT!!!!. i like how the bird is painted the same thats cool. look how high the Bird seems to that car .
Wait a minute here.......You have one of the GTs?? Or am I just really tired right now????lol
Not the clearest of pictures, but here's a couple. I seriously need to buy a new digital camera and take more pictures!

Derikwayne, nice clean car! Birdman, you and I both were dreaming, it is our (work) prototype GT, not mine.

 That pic just made my day :D I'm gonna go drool in the corner now.
What color's the bird? It's a slightly lighter color than mine :)
2005 Ford Lt. gunmetal grey with satin silver pearlcoat stripes. Crystal, you car is awsome, very cool color. Black interior?
Yea Crystals Bird is really nice...
But I keep telling her it would be faster if she'd get rid of the stop sign rear antenna. LOL. :hick:
Well since everyone is postin' pictures withe the Birdies and Cougs all shined up here's mine...
(http://members.pen 15s.net/mr428/tccarlisle.jpg)
I believe that is a "special" linear side band antenna that was a limited production model run.
LMAO, you guys have lost it. And I had to do something for an antenna, the stock one's all gone!
Thanks :) Yep, the interior's been redone black with some gray. One of the mods being done is an attempt at black stang seatbelts. The gray just looks bad against all the black. That's not even scratching the surface though. It'll be a much different looking bird by the time Carlisle gets here. Picking up a chunk of the parts I sent out today :D
I'm definately a fan of that gray. I'm a sucker for a good gray though, it's just really not done too much :)
Just for you Tom
Hey thats much better... just need to get rid of that dammed Grand Marquis...
UHHH since you're not using that stop sign any more can I have it???
I think it would look good with the red TC trim... :hick: :shakehead
See Crystal, you should have removed those side moldings. ;) It looks really good on gunkel's grey bird.
Just for you Tom :D :
Sweeeett... I'm headin down to the corner to get one now... :yuck:
oh no, nowhere near awake enough to kill off that grand marquis... As for the stop sign, I'll talk to my brother, he loves stealing signs
It goes back to paint soon ;) Too many new body panels to worry about matching colors, besides, I think at this point, painting the whole thing would be cheaper. Only looking at $600 for the whole car since all the prep will be done, they just need to scuff up what's not being replaced and shoot it.
Cool. I had no idea you were painting again. Is this for the new bumper after the accident?
Sort of... I'll put it to you this way, car is in even more pieces than this now
(http://www.ferdbird.com/misc/garage/carnose.jpg)
But, I get to torture you till Carlisle with the why :D The unveiling happens then
What did we ever do before photoshop...

Nice paint!
I see you are on Paxton's website now Hawk. Nice job.
Thanks!
That's been up there forever now....since August 2003 it's been Reader's Ride of the month!
I have the door from an 87 or an 88 gold t-bird on my 86 cougar. I didnt know that that color was rare until recentally. I prolly wouldnt have spray painted it black to match the rest of the car :bricks1:
Thanks man! If only the pictures themselves were clean! lol
[/QUOTE]Hey thats much better... just need to get rid of that dammed Grand Marquis...
Easy now Tom, I've got a Grand Marquis too.lol, it's great for fittin all kinds of parts in the trunk
I didn't mean get rid of it as in haul it off... Just don't include it in the pix LOL.. :nono:
I own one as well, but don't drive it much.... Wife's ride...
LOL, it was a quick shot :p It belongs to a neighbor a few houses down. It's actually on a side street, my yard is up about 1.5 feet from the side street.
