I be afraid to use too many force and broke it.
You have to gently remove the little black ring on the outside of the switch (door side),the it has tabs that you squeeze to push it through to the interior side.
the door switch is attached to the seatbelt thats weird
No,the door switch that activates the dome light is at the leading edge of the door. This is at the back.
thats what I meant
thats the switch that makes the stupid dinger go off, the lights go on, and all that when the doors open. I always hold them off when I work with the door open.
I'd call it a "seatbelt comfort switch" or seatbelt slack adjustment switch. It's rather common thing, isn't it?
well, anyway
If you turn the outer black ring a 1/4 turn it should line up with the d slots around the hole and pull right off. Vinnie has my old parts. He could check if we all can't remember. LOL
That button retracts the seatbelt when you open the door
I forgot I had those.I've been too busy with bodywork to pay attention to much else.
Thank You vinnie and daminc !
I got them away today.
BTW: daminc, Your "evolution" project is example for me, what to do with my cougar. My car is little bit better condition but.. My situation is worse in this behalf that in my country is impossible to get some spare parts for body. Especially I like, how You made rocker panels by itself. Knowledge exactly for me
Thanks, Thats why I decided to take as many pics and decribe how I did a lot of things. I know body shops are expensive and it just takes a little playing around and some direction to do body panels for yourself.
If you need panels, lower parts of panels, or sections of panels. You may be able to have them sent to you cheaper then entire full size panels.
