Is it inside the bellhousing or outside? I just pulled the tranny out of my son's 1993 ranger 2.3 5 speed. It is inside the bellhousing. It is held on by two small bolts, about 10mm iirc. We started in the morning, had lunch and finished by supper. I went slow and explained all I could to him...he doesn't know a tie rod from a tire iron, but I have him assist me in everything from oil changes to engine rebuilds...I hope he picks up a little info...Good Luck!!

Just slides on the side, and has a plastic cover and bolt to retain it.
