So after checking all my connections for power. I checked the codes.
I had a feeling it was the neutral start switch. every thing had power, just no start or even a sound.
OK. How do I bypass this so I can turn the car around, to work on the other side?
I don't want to buy another switch if I'm pulling everything out in a couple months.
Did you try starting the car while pushing the shifter through the gears?
If not crawl under the car and pop off the transmission plug and connect the white/pink and red/light blue wires.
Or just turn the key on and jump the soleniod with a screw driver :hick:
Never mind, I'm a moron.
I disconnected the connector under the steering column to get the carpet out. the wires ran from under, to on top of the carpet behind the dash.
Problem solved, I got starter now.
thanks CougarSE, that was going to be my next plan of attack
Apparently, this connector will keep the car from turning over. LOL

I'm thinking it would be easy to tap into, to make a kill switch.
where is that connector exactlly? I have a very similar problem that I associated with the neutral start switch as well. I took out the switch, held it in my hand and pressed down on the button and switched it out with another one I had laying around and couldn't figure it out. I was sure I had a bad fuseible link, but I was able to ohm them all out.
Its on the drivers side, just behind the console. Just look for the wires coming from the floor from the neutral start switch. They connect up to it.
I was just looking in my book.
I'm pretty sure, that open connector next to the one I'm holding, is part of the security system (Starter disable feature) which also ties into that connector somewhere along the way up there.
