Paul, those emblems show up on eBay regularly...keep checking. I'm also going to a very large swap meet early next month and can keep an eye out for you there. And if memory serves me correctly, there's still a few places out on the web where you can get those emblems brand new. They're not cheap, especially for the size (about 1") but they are still new. If I find a link it will be posted here. Those emblems were also used in the 1980-82 Cougars.
Cool, I re-upholstered my door skins over the summer and used back carpeting material. It looks nice with the grey "leather" and black headliner. I'm lookin for 4 of those emblems. No emblem when purchased for these cars brand new is cheap. My Special editions were 40 dollars a pop.
Hey guys. Since were on the subject of emblems, I happen to have a pair of 20th anniversary (87 cougar) exterior emblems in excellent shape. I swiped them off a junked cat at a local salvage yard (yes I removed them the right way and didn't pry em off) Anyone need em? I don't cause I have an 88, so they're useless to me. I'll see if I can post a pic of them up later today.
Oh and Eric, Love the coolcats site man - thats good work - I've been a long time viewer of it since I owned my first cat back in High School.
