Title: ctxma.exe
Post by: tbirdscott on March 07, 2005, 11:48:19 PM
WTF is it? I searched around and couldnt find anything on it. I recently re-re-re-re-reformatted my comp.... again.. and before I could even get my antivirus updated I was bombarded by viruses/spyware (yes I disconnected the modem) Now i've got most of it gone but when i start up ctxma.exe pops up in the task manager and uses 10-15% cpu, it also seems that firefox wont function properly unless I end it. Spybot has also found 'DyFuCA.InternetOptimizer' and 'n-case' but cant remove it even in safemode or after start up, ad-aware doesnt find it at all. can anybody help? nothing I've found on the net has helped

Ad-Aware is a good start.  Go ahead and get the Microsoft (yes, I said MS) Anti-Spyware Beta as well as Spybot Search & Destroy.  This trio seems to work well together to obliterate spyware.  Also make sure you have a nice rock-solid anti-virus. If you need one, PM me.
