does anyone have a front picture of the header stripe
[factory only]. the brochure doesnt show it all. the
header on mine was repainted over 10 years ago and
the stripe kit i have from one i worked on in 88 didnt include
it even though i only used the r 1/4 and door.whoever
worked on it only brought the stripe around each corner
and came to a tip.what little i can see in the brochure
looks like it goes all the way around the header. can
anyone shed some light? thanks!--irv
The stripes do go around the front onto the header panel. They come to a point right above the edge of the grille, so about 1/3 of the way around the front on each side. Offhand I don't have any photos of that but I'll see if I can't dig one up for you.

the original kit that i had from 20 years ago doesnt even
have it in it. it was used at my shop on a 2 mo old car.
whoever repainted my header only went about 6".
now that i look at your pictures i think i like the shorter
stripe even though its not correct. i dont even know what
made me think about this. thanks Eric!
i thought that bottom one was an old photo of my car at first glance, but its not.
is that top pic an RS? never seen paint like that before
The top photo is actually an '88 XR7 Blue Max. I know it seems illogical but there are more photos to prove it. The info was passed to me by its current owner.
The bottom photo has a strange "Track Cat" emblem on the trunklid. Other than the ground effects kit, that was the only mod to the car. I figured you'd get a kick out of it though. ;)
